Blue’d up is all that and.….
Blue’d is a great choice for my bathroom, it has made my bathroom serene and calm. I almost hate to leave it. The color is just enough blue and dark but the room still feels airy and light.

Blue'd Up shifts noticeably between natural and artificial light, and it is known for reading blue to some eyes and purple to others. In bright, natural daylight, both the blue and the purple undertones show and the color looks its most dynamic. Under warm evening lighting, it deepens toward a moody, enveloping violet-blue. Because this color shifts so much by light and viewer, sampling in the actual space before committing to a full gallon is strongly recommended, which is why Clare offers peel-and-stick swatches.
For shades adjacent to Blue'd Up, consider Blue Ivy, which reads as a truer, cleaner medium blue, or Cosmic Vibes, which leans further into dusty purple. For a deep blue without the purple shift, Goodnight Moon offers a rich midnight blue. Clare's peel-and-stick swatches make it easy to compare these deep tones side by side in your space before committing.
Sampling in the actual room is the single most reliable way to choose between similar colors. Paint colors shift depending on the room's light exposure, ceiling height, furnishings, and flooring. Clare's peel-and-stick swatches allow direct comparison of multiple colors on the wall without the mess of traditional paint samples. Observe each swatch at different times of day and under both natural and artificial light before making a final decision.
Semi-gloss is the recommended finish for most bathroom applications. The higher sheen creates a moisture-resistant surface that holds up to humidity and is easy to wipe clean. For larger bathroom walls where a softer look is preferred, eggshell is an acceptable alternative in well-ventilated spaces.
For small bedrooms, high-LRV colors (LRV 55 and above) open up the space and make it feel larger. Clare On Point, Whipped and Timeless all work well in smaller bedrooms. Soft warm neutrals in the greige and warm beige families add coziness without closing the space in. For small bedrooms where drama is the goal, low-LRV colors like Deep Dive or Current Mood work beautifully when balanced with strong light sources and light-colored furnishings.

After seeing this gorgeous bluish-purple paint, I wasn’t blue anymore, but was instead filled with joy! Love Clare paint!

Good paint, good quality, no unpleasant smell. My daughter really wanted a blue dresser and now she has one! We're both very satisfied.

Love the complexity of colors that are perceived differently by different people. Some people see this as blue, some as purple. To me it’s the perfect combination. Very saturated, so lots of drama, but in a very uplifting way; blue’d up doesn’t have to be “serious” although it can be.
I used it in a tiny 1980’s powder room, complete with yellow toilet and pedestal, funky faceted frameless mirror, wrought iron tiny chandelier spray painted white and it’s just amazing. Contemplating using it on the ceiling. There is a window in the room, so some natural light.
Also great for tinting other colors that I want to have a little more complexity. Have mixed it into a light blue, as well as into a grey, with great results.
The coverage it astounding, but so far all Clare paints have been that way.
